Manufacturer’s Warranty—Typically the roofer will warrant his workmanship, whereas the manufacturer warrants the roofing material against defects. Many manufacturers warrant shingles only against defects that cause leaks, whereas others warrant their products against any manufacturing defect. Look for manufacturers’ warranties that provide full coverage for any defect in labor and materials in the first five or more years after application.

All of our qualifying shingle roofs include Certainteed’s 5-star warranty. This warranty is enhanced as in addition to covering the purchase price of new materials and the labor to put them on (as most roof warranties are worded) it also includes removing the defective shingles and paying for their disposal (major gotcha’s in other warranties). It is also extended by being fully transferable for a longer period of time and finally by Certainteed standing behind our workmanship for periods of up to twenty years.
